Men’s tennis defeats Maryville

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team earned its eighth win of the season on Thursday, defeating Maryville College 7-2.
The Hawks (8-4, 5-3 USA South) will travel to Covenant on Saturday for an 11 a.m. match and then will travel to Piedmont on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match.
In doubles, the teams of John Jones-Trey Pirtle (No. 1) won 8-2, Aaron Triplett-Justin McQueen (No. 2) won 8-5 and Ben Marler-Seth McClendon (No. 3) won 8-6.
In singles, Triplett (No. 3), McQueen (No. 4), Marler (No. 5) and Bailey Burns (No. 6) won in straight sets.
