Men's tennis competes in ITA South Region Championships

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team competed in the ITA South Region Champions this past weekend.

The tournament consisted of 16 teams, five being from the USA South Athletic Conference; Huntingdon, LaGrange, Methodist, N.C. Wesleyan and Piedmont.

Emory's Aman Manji won the singles championship while Jonathan Jemison and David Omsky from Emory won the doubles championship.

The Hawks picked up three singles wins and three doubles matches for the weekend. Justin McQueen, Ben Marler and Mark Melchor each won in singles and the duo of Bailey Burns and Marler won twice while the duo of Melchor and Adam Self earned one win.

The tournament concluded the fall schedule for the Hawks. Huntingdon opens its spring schedule in February.
