Huntingdon plays in John McWilliams Fall Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon men's and women's tennis teams competed in the John McWilliams Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Lagoon Park.

The women earned seven singles wins and three doubles wins and the men picked up six singles wins and one doubles win.

Freshman Alonda Weaver led the Lady Hawks with a 3-0 record in singles and teamed with sophomore Ashley Burke to go 2-1 in doubles. Burke, sophomore Alex Burnham, freshman Madeline Creel and senior Kacey Stephens each won one singles match. Junior Lucy Burch and freshman Allison Stegall won one doubles match.

Sophomore Domenic Terrell led the men with a 2-0 singles record. Senior Mark Melchor, sophomore Carson Sands, sophomore Clint Robinson and freshman John Bailey each won one singles match. The team of Robinson and Bailey won one doubles match.
