Huntingdon competes in USA South Track and Field Championship

BEREA, Ky. – The Huntingdon track and field teams competed in the USA South Championship on Wednesday and Thursday. The Huntingdon men scored 11 points and finished eighth in the field of 10 teams. The Huntingdon women scored four points and finished 12th in the field of 12 teams. The Huntingdon men competed with eight athletes in 10 events and the women’s team competed with two athletes in two events.
Track and Field competes in Berry Field Day Invitational

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Huntingdon track and field teams competed in the Berry Field Day Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Huntingdon men scored six points and finished 11th in the field of 12 teams. The Huntingdon women did not earn a team score. The Huntingdon men competed with eight athletes in six events and the women’s team competed with two athletes in three events. Each of the 11 Hawks set at least one personal best time.

USA South releases preseason track and field polls

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The USA South Athletic Conference released its men’s and women’s preseason track and field polls on Wednesday. The Huntingdon men are ninth in their poll and the Huntingdon women are 11th in their poll.
USA South 2021 Spring Semester Update

The Presidents of the USA South Athletic Conference have voted unanimously to approve the conduction of men's and women's basketball, along with the previously postponed fall sports, within the spring semester. This decision was made while still maintaining a focus on the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and athletics staffs. Recent adjustments to NCAA resocialization guidelines as well as the accessibility of testing materials have assisted the leadership of the USA South's ability to endorse a plan to resume collegiate athletics within the Conference. The USA South will continue to monitor the landscape created by the pandemic and make any adjustments needed.

The leadership of the USA South Athletic Conference, including member Presidents and Athletic Directors, have participated in consistent, constructive, conversations regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the upcoming 2020-21 athletic year. While there are many items still to be officially addressed, the USA South Presidents Council recently approved plans which will affect the currently scheduled fall athletic seasons. These implementations are rooted in assuring the health and safety of its student-athletes while still supplying as many opportunities as possible to participate in a positive collegiate athletic experience:
