Huntingdon softball drops two games in Roanoke Valley Softball Bash

SALEM, Va. – The Huntingdon softball team lost its final two games in the Roanoke Valley Softball Bash on Sunday.

The Lady Hawks lost to Randolph-Macon 5-1 in the first game and fell to Ferrum 9-1 in the second game.

Against Randolph-Macon (10-4), Chasity Ward singled in Lauren Welch for Huntingdon's run. Melissa McClure took the loss. Complete stats for the game were not available Sunday night.

Against Ferrum (14-1), Holly Ostrander hit a solo homer in the second inning for Huntingdon's run. Brittany Richardson was the only Lady Hawk with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3. Bree Giordana took the loss in 5 2/3 innings.

Huntingdon (7-6) will play its first home game of the season on Wednesday. The Lady Hawks host Spring Hill in a doubleheader, beginning at 1 p.m.
