USA South releases Academic All-Conference selections
June 10, 2020
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – A total of 184 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday. The student-athletes, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,702 USA South student-athletes named to the team.
Division III Week Student Spotlight – Madison Hunt

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the ninth-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, 18 student-athletes will be featured this week. Brooks Freeman, Madison Hunt and Tristan Powell are today's featured student-athletes.

Huntingdon stumbles against LaGrange in conference opener

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team lost both games of a doubleheader with LaGrange on Monday in the conference openers for both teams. The Hawks lost 5-1 in the first game before losing 3-0 in the second game.
Huntingdon splits with Hiram in doubleheader

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team won the first game and lost the second game in a doubleheader with Hiram College on Sunday. The Hawks beat the Terriers 7-2 in the first game before falling 4-2 in the final game.
Huntingdon earns one win in Averett doubleheader

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team earned one win against Averett in a doubleheader on Sunday. The Hawks scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the first game 2-1. Huntingdon fell 10-4 in the second game.

Hunt recognized as USA South Athlete of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon senior Madison Hunt was named one of the USA South Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week on Monday. Hunt was named the Pitcher of the Week for softball. This is the conference’s first recognition of the spring for softball.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team closed the weekend with a split against Mount St. Joseph and Berry College on Sunday. The Hawks beat Mount St. Joseph 4-0 and lost to Berry 10-3. Huntingdon finished the weekend with a 1-1 record against both teams. The Hawks defeated Berry 8-0 in five innings on Saturday and lost to Mount St. Joseph 7-4 on the first day.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon softball team is ranked third in the USA South Athletic Conference West Division poll. Huntingdon totaled 51 points in the poll.
Huntingdon SAAC heads athletic teams’ community service effort

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently helped raise a collection of more than 6,000 items for the Montgomery Area Food Bank. The effort was part of the USA South Athletic Conference’s Cans Across the Conference food drive. All 18 member institutions of the USA South collected non-perishable items to benefit local charities of their choosing.
