Huntingdon women come up short against Belhaven

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team started strong but couldn't keep pace with Belhaven University in a 73-64 loss on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks (4-3) led for most of the first quarter before Belhaven (2-4) took the lead entering the second quarter. Belhaven pulled ahead to a 13-point lead, 46-33, at halftime and led by double digits for most of the second half.

Juliette Harp led Huntingdon with a season-high 19 points to go with seven rebounds and two blocks. Mia Hudson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hudson also had five assists and four steals.

Mackenzie Garmany added 13 points and four assists and Jenna Dorman finished with seven rebounds.

Huntingdon will host Piedmont on Sunday at 1 p.m.
