MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team earned its fifth win of the season, defeating Pensacola Christian 67-52 on Thursday night.

The Lady Hawks (5-4) battled Pensacola Christian closely through the first and second quarters, taking a 32-28 lead into the half.

"We haven't played since Dec. 13 and it showed," Huntingdon head coach Buzz Phillips said. "We needed the first half to get our legs back under us and get into a game rhythm."

Huntingdon pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as 14 points in the third quarter. The Lady Hawks held a double-digit lead for the final 7:13 of the game.

"I think we played a lot better and the defense really improved in the second half," Phillips said. "We had seven girls play 20 or more minutes so it was nice to have that many girls play."

Sophomore Juliette Harp recorded her sixth double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points and 15 rebounds. She also had three blocked shots. She was one point and three rebounds short of matching her career-highs. Harp currently leads the USA South Athletic Conference with 12.4 rebounds per game leads the conference with 2.2 blocks per game and is tied for sixth with 13.7 points per game.

Junior Jenna Dorman scored 13 points and went 6-for-10 from the field. Sophomore Gabby George finished with 11 points and five rebounds while Junior Jai'Lyn Lover scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds.
