Harp’s double-double powers Huntingdon to fourth win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Junior Juliette Harp led Huntingdon with a double-double as four players scored double-digit points in a 66-54 win over Pensacola Christian on Tuesday night.

With the win, the Lady Hawks pushed their winning streak to five games dating back to last season. It is the longest winning streak since the 2012-13 season.

Huntingdon (4-0) opened the game with a 3-pointer by Jello Weatherspoon and never trailed for the remainder of the game.

The Lady Hawks led by five after the first quarter and eight at halftime, leading 34-26. Huntingdon extended its lead after third by 15 and closed the game with a 12 point win.

Harp recorded her second double-double of the season with a game-high 24 points and 16 rebounds. T.I. Duncan added 11 points and nine rebounds while Weatherspoon tallied 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Senior Jenna Dorman scored 13 points and added four rebounds.

Huntingdon hosts Berry on Dec. 13 for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
