Huntingdon falls behind at LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team started strong but faltered midway through the game and fell to LaGrange 76-55 on Wednesday.

The loss drops the Lady Hawks (17-6, 8-4 USA South) into a tie for third with LaGrange (14-9, 8-4 USA South) in the West Division of the conference.

Huntingdon led by as many as nine points, 26-17, with 6:27 left in the second quarter before LaGrange began to take control. The Panthers closed the first half with a 20-6 run to take a 37-32 lead. After three quarters, LaGrange led 58-40.

Juliette Harp recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds to go with three blocked shots. Jenna Dorman added 13 points, Jello Weatherspoon had nine points and T.I. Duncan finished with eight points, five steals and four assists.

Huntingdon travels to Agnes Scott on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. (Central).
