MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team won a close conference game with Covenant College 58-55 on Friday night.

The win was the Lady Hawks' 12th straight at Roland Arena dating to last season.

In a game in which the largest lead was seven points, neither team led by more than four points in the final three quarters. Huntingdon played from behind for much of the third quarter before taking the lead for good early in the fourth quarter.

A layup by Juliette Harp tied the game 46-46 with 7:29 to play and a basket by Abiba Bernard put Huntingdon in front 48-46 with 5:23 left. From there, the Lady Hawks battled to maintain the lead.

Huntingdon's Alex Lowery sank two free throws with six seconds remaining to give Huntingdon a 58-55 lead. The Lady Hawks missed a pair of free throws with two seconds to play, but a last-second shot by Covenant was off the mark.
