Lady Hawks fall to USA South West Division leader Berea

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team lost to USA South West Division leader Berea College 68-61 on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks played from behind for almost the entire game. After falling behind by 14 points early in the second half and trailing by 12 points, 58-46, at the end of the third quarter, Huntingdon rallied in the fourth quarter.

Using an 11-4 run, the Lady Hawks pulled within five points, 62-57, with three minutes to play. But that was as close as Huntingdon could get. Berea hit four free throws and a field goal to maintain the lead and close out the game.

Huntingdon senior Juliette Harp led all scorers with 24 points and also had seven rebounds. Alex Lowery added 12 points and five rebounds, T.I. Duncan finished with nine points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four blocks and Mia Hudson had five rebounds.
