Huntingdon women’s golf finishes 14th in BSC Southern Shootout
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Saem Hur shot an 8-over-par 78 on Monday and finished with a 36-hole total of 158 to lead the Huntingdon women's golf team in the Birmingham-Southern College Southern Shootout.
The Hawks shot 335 on Sunday and 333 on Monday and finished 14th with a 668. Lee University won the team title with a two-round total of 577. Columbus State was second at 588 and Methodist University was third at 596.
Lee University's Courtney Shelton shot the low round on Monday with a 3-under 67 and finished the tournament with an even-par 140. Shelton, Shorter University's Lisa Persson and Columbus State's Kimesha Anthony and Nikki Crowley finished the second round in a four-way tie for first. Shelton won the tournament in a playoff.
Behind Hur, Huntingdon junior Ali Hamil shot 161 in the tournament. Senior Kaitlin Rozof shot 173, Alex Foster shot 176 and Joanne Jeon shot 247 for the Hawks.
