Lady Hawks in 7th after first round of Piedmont Spring Invitational

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 342 in the first round of the Piedmont Spring Invitational on Monday. Results for the tournament were not released until late Monday night.

Saem Hur led Huntingdon with a 77 and is tied for seventh. Hur is five strokes behind tournament leader Courtney Shelton from Lee University. Shelton shot an even-par 72 on Monday.

Huntingdon's Ali Hamil shot an 84 in the first round, Alex Foster shot 90 and Kaitlin Rozof shot 91.

Lee University leads the tournament at 305, Methodist University is second at 307 and the Methodist B-Team is third at 317. The Lady Hawks are in seventh entering Tuesday's final round.
