Lady Hawks 10 strokes off the lead in Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 346 in the opening round on Monday and is in third entering Tuesday's final round of the Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational at Achasta Golf Club.

The Lady Hawks trail two Division II teams in the five-team tournament. Shorter University leads the field with a 336 and the University of North Georgia is second at 339.

Freshmen LeeAnn Cahoon and Savannah Humber led Huntingdon in the opening round. Cahoon shot 81 and is in fourth. Humber shot 82 and is tied for fifth.

North Georgia's Aly Hicks and Emmanuel College's Hope Giordano are tied for first at 78 and Shorter's Claudia Orrantia is third at 79.

Following Cahoon and Humber, senior Saem Hur shot 90 for Huntingdon, sophomore Jessie Culey shot 93 and freshman Courtney Harville shot 96.
