Huntingdon women’s golf in fourth after Rd. 1 of Methodist Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 349 in the opening round of the Methodist Spring Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Hawks are in fourth entering Sunday's final round.

Methodist leads the seven-team tournament at 305, the Methodist B-Team is second at 330 and Berry College is third at 337.

"This was a rough day for us, but we're keeping our heads up and we're looking forward to the second round," Huntingdon assistant coach Ashley Aguilera said. "We had some bad breaks today, but we were striking the ball well. We want to bounce back on Sunday."

Freshman LeeAnn Cahoon shot 83 and freshman Savannah Humber shot 84 to lead the Lady Hawks. Senior Saem Hur and freshman Courtney Harville each shot 91 and sophomore Sydney Robbins finished with a 94.

Methodist's Kelsie Carralero turned in the low round on Saturday with a 2-over-par 74.
