Lady Hawks in 4th after Rd. 1 of Chick-fil-A Collegiate

ROME, Ga. – Two Huntingdon women's golfers are in the top eight and the Lady Hawks are in fourth after the first round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational.

Huntingdon shot 318 on Monday at Stonebridge Golf Club, marking the sixth time in eight rounds this fall that the Lady Hawks have shot 321 or better. Entering this fall, 321 was the best round in program history.

The Lady Hawks trail three NAIA teams entering Tuesday's final round. Dalton State leads the field at 303 and the University of the Cumberlands and the University of South Carolina Beaufort are tied for second at 312.

Sophomore LeeAnn Cahoon led Huntingdon with a 2-over-par 74 and is tied for third. Cahoon is three strokes off the lead. Dalton State's Erika Wardzinski turned in Monday's best round with a 1-under 71.

Behind Cahoon, freshman Kelsey Spivey shot a 5-over 77 and is tied for eighth. Freshman Lindsey Huff shot 83, sophomore Courtney Harville shot 84 and sophomore Savannah Humber shot 93.
