Huntingdon’s Cahoon ties for 2nd in Chick-fil-A Collegiate

ROME, Ga. – Sophomore LeeAnn Cahoon tied for second and the Huntingdon women's golf team finished fifth in the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club.

Cahoon fired a 5-over-par 149 for the tournament to finish one stroke behind medalist Erika Wardzinski of Dalton State. Cahoon shot a 2-over 74 on Monday and a 3-over 75 on Tuesday.

This is the second runner-up finish of the fall for Cahoon. She also shot a 149 to place second in the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate in September.

As a team, Huntingdon shot 323 in the final round and finished fifth with a two-round score of 641. The Lady Hawks have finished fifth or better in all four tournaments this fall.

Three NAIA teams and a Division II team finished in front of Huntingdon. The University of South Carolina Beaufort shot 612 to win the tournament. Dalton State and the University of the Cumberlands tied for second at 613. Division II Trevecca Nazarene was fourth at 637.

Behind Cahoon's 149, sophomore Courtney Harville shot 165, freshman Lindsey Huff shot 168 and sophomore Savannah Humber shot 175.
