CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Huntingdon's Courtney Harville was named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association this week.

This is the third consecutive year Harville has earned the honor.

A total of 828 women's collegiate golfers were recognized this year. To be eligible for the WGCA All-American Scholar team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA.

"Courtney has always been a really good student and is the epitome of the student-athlete," Huntingdon Director of Golf Dave Schreyer said. "She does a lot of hard work on the golf course and then goes home and makes really great grades. She is a great candidate to show what Division III golf is all about."

Huntingdon was one of six schools in Alabama to have at least one golfer named an All-American Scholar.

Joining Harville on the team were Auburn University's Kelli Murphy, Jacksonville State University's Karina Kukkonen, Angie Varona and Melania Bajo Geijo, the University of Alabama's Cheyenne Knight, Emma Talley, Lakareber Abe and Nicole Morales, the University of South Alabama's Elisa Axelsen and Madison Connell and the University of West Alabama's Linette Holmslykke and Jessica Smyth.
