Lady Hawks in 9th after Rd. 1 of Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic

CLAYTON, Ind. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 327 on Saturday in the opening round of the Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic.

Entering Sunday's second round, Huntingdon is ninth in the 14-team field. Wittenberg University shot a tournament record 300 and leads after the opening round. Indiana Tech is second at 312 and Illinois Wesleyan and William Penn University are tied for third at 318.

Senior LeeAnn Cahoon shot 76 and is tied for sixth entering the second round. Wittenberg's Jane Hopkins-Wood shot a tournament best 70. Wittenberg's Macy Hubbard and Indiana Tech's Courtney Dye are tied for second at 73.

Huntingdon's Katelyn Gilmore shot 81 and is tied for 24th. Sophomore Hallie Rice shot 82, freshman Madi DeWees shot 88 and Courtney Harville shot 89.
