Leiterman and Hickson lead 1st-place Lady Hawks in Rhodes Invitational

Results

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Junior Vanessa Leiterman is tied for first, freshman Olivia Hickson is third and the Huntingdon women's golf team leads the field after the opening round of the Rhodes Women's Golf Spring Invitational on Sunday.                    

Huntingdon shot 312 in the first round and is first in the six-team field. Rhodes is second with a 316.

Leiterman and Wittenberg University's Jane Hopkinson-Wood each shot 1-over-par 74 in the first round and are tied for the lead. Hickson is one stroke back and in third with a 2-over 75.

All five Lady Hawks are within 10 strokes of first. Behind Leiterman and Hickson, junior Katelyn Gilmore is ninth with an 80, freshman Anna Beth Harris is tied for 12th with an 83 and sophomore Madi DeWees is tied for 15th with an 84.

                                                                                                  

Coming Up: Weather permitting, Huntingdon will play in the final round of the Rhodes Women's Golf Spring Invitational on Monday.
