Leiterman ties for 4th to lead Huntingdon in Chick-fil-A Invitational

ROME, Ga. – Senior Vanessa Leiterman tied for fourth and the Huntingdon women's golf team finished sixth in the Chick-fil-A Invitational on Tuesday.

Leiterman shot a 5-over-par 77 in the final round and finished five strokes out of first with an 11-over 155. Oglethorpe's Angel Sanchez and Shorter University's Paula Oviedo each shot 6-over 150 to tie for first. 

As a team, Huntingdon shot 326 in the final round and finished sixth with a two-round 656. Shorter won the 13-team tournament with a two-round 621. Oglethorpe was second with a 625.

Senior Katelyn Gilmore led Huntingdon in the final round with a 2-over 74 and tied for 14th with a 159. Freshman Debra Ann Burdeshaw finished with a two-round 167, junior Madi DeWees finished with a two-round 176 and sophomore Anna Beth Harris finished with a two-round 177.
