Lady Hawks close out Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational

SANDESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 329 in the final round of the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Baytowne Golf Club.

In a field that featured nine nationally ranked teams, the Lady Hawks finished 16th with a three-round 984. Seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon won the 18-team tournament with a 44-over 908. Eleventh-ranked Methodist and fourth-ranked Rhodes tied for second at 63-over 927.

Carnegie Mellon's Alexis Sudjianto earned medalist honors for the tournament with a 1-over-par 217.

Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw tied for 25th with a three-round 236 to lead Huntingdon. Sophomore Abigail Cody turned in the Lady Hawks' best round on Tuesday with a 79 and tied for 55th with a three-round 247.

Senior Madi DeWees shot a three-round 250, freshman Emma Cox shot a three-round 261 and junior Anna Beth Harris shot a three-round 262.
