Huntingdon women’s lacrosse loses at Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team took on a tough challenge on Sunday.

The Lady Hawks scored seven goals but lost to Sewanee 17-7.

For Sewanee (3-0), a 2013 NCAA Tournament team, it was the 61st win in six seasons of competition. For the second-year Lady Hawks (1-2), the game was the 17th in program history.

Jamie Reschke, Jen Price and Kate Heinrichs each scored two goals for Huntingdon and Shannen O'Leary scored once. Price also had an assist and O'Leary and Kalyn Spatol each had three draw controls.

Goalie Alexis McDonald finished with 17 saves.

Huntingdon returns to action at home on Wednesday, hosting Oglethorpe at 3 p.m.
