Huntingdon women’s lacrosse wins at LaGrange

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team scored 15 goals in the first half and knocked off LaGrange 21-9 on Saturday.

The 21 goals tie the Lady Hawks' season-high and are the second most goals scored in a game by the second-year program. This was the third 20-goal game of the season the seventh in 23 games the past two seasons.

Huntingdon scored 10 goals in the first 11 minutes of the game to take a 10-2 lead and carried a 15-4 lead into the half. Huntingdon led by as many as 13 goals in the second half.

Lonnitria Keenan, Candace Williams and Briana Gress each scored four goals for Huntingdon (4-5, 2-3 USA South). Keenan also had one assist and Gress had four ground balls.

Jen Price, Sam Baker, Kalyn Spatol and Jamie Reschke each scored two goals and Shannen O'Leary had one goal. Price had six draw controls.

Starting goalie Alexis McDonald recorded eight saves in a little less than 40 minutes and freshman Tori Krupa had two saves.

The Lady Hawks travel to Methodist on March 22 for a noon conference game.
