Hawks match program record for wins in a season
LAURINBURG, N.C. – The Huntingdon wrestling team defeated NAIA St. Andrews University 37-18 on Saturday.
The win was Huntingdon's sixth dual-match victory of the season, tying the fifth-year Hawks' record for wins in a season. The 2017-18 team set the mark and finished 6-9 in dual matches. With five dual matches remaining this season, the Hawks are 6-7.
Huntingdon won seven weight classes on Saturday. Mason Blakeney (141 pounds), Wyatt Miller (174) and Cody Dixon (184) each won by pin. Ryan Brooks (125) won by major decision, Tristan Powell (133) won by decision and Quintez Pearson (149) and Austin Phillips (197) each won by forfeit.
