MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon wrestling team won two matches on Saturday for a sweep on Senior Day. The Hawks opened the day with a 48-4 win over NAIA Allen University and ended the day with a 31-15 win over Division II Kentucky Wesleyan.

Wrestling team splits with Allen and Averett to open season

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Huntingdon wrestling team opened the season with a split in a pair of matches at Allen University on Sunday. The Hawks beat NAIA Allen University 31-15 and lost to Division III Averett University 39-10.
USA South Indoor Spectator Policy Announcement

The Presidents of the USA South Athletic Conference have unanimously agreed to a Conference policy stating that no spectators shall be permitted to attend any indoor USA South sporting event. This includes the sport of basketball which is scheduled to begin Conference play during the weekend of January 16th. The lack of spectators will allow institutional staffs to focus solely on maintaining the health and safety of those participating in the event.
USA South 2021 Spring Semester Update

The Presidents of the USA South Athletic Conference have voted unanimously to approve the conduction of men's and women's basketball, along with the previously postponed fall sports, within the spring semester. This decision was made while still maintaining a focus on the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and athletics staffs. Recent adjustments to NCAA resocialization guidelines as well as the accessibility of testing materials have assisted the leadership of the USA South's ability to endorse a plan to resume collegiate athletics within the Conference. The USA South will continue to monitor the landscape created by the pandemic and make any adjustments needed.

The leadership of the USA South Athletic Conference, including member Presidents and Athletic Directors, have participated in consistent, constructive, conversations regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the upcoming 2020-21 athletic year. While there are many items still to be officially addressed, the USA South Presidents Council recently approved plans which will affect the currently scheduled fall athletic seasons. These implementations are rooted in assuring the health and safety of its student-athletes while still supplying as many opportunities as possible to participate in a positive collegiate athletic experience:
