LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team kept it close, but didn't have an answer for Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday. The NAIA Grizzlies scored once in each half to take a 2-0 win.
Huntingdon (0-3) got a strong performance from keeper Jenny Burnash. Burnash allowed two goals but made 14 saves in the game. Georgia Gwinnett (3-2) took 40 shots, including 16 shots on goal.
Anna Raley, Sam Havel and Kate Garrigan each took a shot for Huntingdon.
The Lady Hawks open Great South Athletic Conference play on Sept. 15 at Covenant.
