Huntingdon women’s soccer falls to Salem

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team gave up two early goals and couldn't recover in a 3-0 loss to Salem on Saturday.

Sataj Johnson scored in the sixth minute for Salem (9-3, 3-1 Great South Athletic Conference) and Taylor Norman made it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Sawyer Ferguson added the third and final goal in the 66th minute. Stephanie Hubbard and Mackenzie Schmidt each had an assist.

Anna Raley and Kathleen Penney each took a shot for Huntingdon (2-8, 2-3 GSAC). Keeper Josie Byard had 11 saves and three goals allowed for the Lady Hawks.

Huntingdon travels to Judson on Monday for a 4 p.m. game.
