Lady Hawks soccer tops Toccoa Falls in double overtime

TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team and Toccoa Falls College played more than 100 scoreless minutes, but the Lady Hawks found the net in double overtime to seal a 1-0 victory on Wednesday.

Christian Boldin scored the game-winning goal in the 108th minute on an assist from Sam Havel.

Huntingdon took 13 shots to Toccoa Falls' four, and Josie Byard picked up three saves and the shutout.

Clara Tapplin took six shots and Kira Jo Bohlke had two, while Courtney Staton and Carlie Reed each took a shot on goal.

The Lady Hawks (2-1) return to action this weekend as they open USA South Conference play at Meredith College on Saturday at 11 a.m.
