Lady Hawks soccer comes up short in conference battle with Ferrum

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Ferrum Panthers on Saturday in a USA South Athletic Conference match.

Ferrum's Morgan Funck found the net in the 61st minute of action to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead and seal the win.

The Panthers took 16 shots for seven on-goal and held Huntingdon to just three shots. Clara Tapplin took two for one on-goal, and Kira Jo Bohlke had one shot.

Keeper Josie Byard had six saves for the Lady Hawks.

The Lady Hawks (3-4, 1-2 USA South) return to action at home on Sunday against William Peace.
