Lady Hawks take down Toccoa Falls

TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. – Sophomore Madi Critcher scored in the 82nd minute to help the Huntingdon women's soccer team knock off Toccoa Falls 1-0 on Monday.

Critcher's goal came on an assist by freshman Jenna Maschino.

The Lady Hawks (2-2) took four shots for the game. In addition to Critcher, Clara Zubrick, Alex Ellison and Kyelie Cudnohoske each took one shot. Critcher had the only shot on goal.

Toccoa Falls (2-4) took nine shots for the game. Huntingdon freshman keeper Leah Leach turned away all six shots on goal to finish with six saves.

Huntingdon opens USA South Athletic Conference play on Saturday at home. The Lady Hawks host Ferrum at noon at Samford Stadium.
