Lady Hawks battle Averett to double overtime tie

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team outshot Averett University on Saturday, but tied the Cougars 0-0 in double overtime.

Freshman Kyelie Cudnohoske led the Lady Hawks (3-6-1, 1-4-1 USA South) with four shots.

Clara Zubrick took three shots and had two shots on goal.

Shelby Clark had three shots and Alex Ellison took two shots, both being shots on goal. Hannah Cloud took two shots and had one shot on goal.

Kira Bohkle, Abi Olmeda and Camryn Carter all had two shots. Jenna Maschino had one shot and one shot on goal.

Huntingdon outshot Averett 21-12 but only had a 6-5 shots on goal advantage against the Cougars (1-7-2, 1-4-1 USA South).

Goalkeeper Leah Leach recorded five saves in her third shutout of the season.

Huntingdon returns to action on Sunday, hosting Greensboro College at noon in a USA South matchup at Samford Stadium.
