MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team fell to Covenant College 1-0 on Friday night at Samford Stadium.
Covenant, who leads the USA South Athletic Conference West Division, outshot the Lady Hawks 12-5 while placing eight shots on goal to Huntingdon's one.
The Scots (5-1-0, 3-0-0 USA South) had eight first-half shots and scored the game's lone goal in the 26th minute.
Huntingdon's (3-3-1, 2-2-0 USA South) Jazmin Martinez led the team with two shots, while Madi Critcher and Shelby Clark took one shot. Abi Olmeda had one shot and one shot on goal.
Leah Leach allowed just her third goal of the season in the loss and recorded a season-high seven saves.
Huntingdon hosts Maryville on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Samford Stadium.
