Salem College too much for Lady Hawks

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team made its final appearance at home on Sunday and lost 6-0 to Salem College

Huntingdon honored seniors Kira Bohlke and Clara Tapplin before the game. Both players have been with the program for four years.

Salem scored two first-half goals to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. With the win, Salem improved to 14-1-1 and 9-1-1 in USA South Athletic Conference play.

The Spirits would go on to score four goals in the second-half to take a 6-0 win.

Huntingdon fell to 3-9-2 and 2-7-1 in the conference.

Jenna Maschino placed both of her shots on goal while Tapplin and Abi Olmeda each had one shot-on-goal. Madi Critcher and Kaylee Andrews each had one shot.

Keeper Leah Leach recorded eight saves and allowed six goals.

Huntingdon travels to LaGrange on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. conference matchup.
