Lady Hawks lose at Wesleyan

MACON, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team closed out its regular season with a 1-0 loss to Wesleyan on Sunday.

Huntingdon (3-11-3, 2-10-2 USA South) outshot Wesleyan (4-11-1, 2-11-1 USA South) 7-1 in the first-half, but only placed one shot on goal as both teams were held scoreless in the opening half.

Wesleyan's offense came alive in the second-half and placed four of its nine shots on goal. The Wolves scored the game winner off a penalty kick at the 69:50 mark.

Madi Critcher took six shots and had two shots on goal. Abi Olmeda and Jazmin Martinez each had one shot on goal.

Leah Leach recorded four saves and allowed one goal.

Huntingdon will play at Piedmont on Wednesday in the first-round of the USA South Athletic Conference tournament. Game time has not been set.
