Huntingdon’s Harrison named HERO Sports Division III Player of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon junior Meredith Harrison was announced as the Division III Player of the Week by HERO Sports on Friday.

Harrison received 1,307 votes in an online poll to earn the title.

Harrison was nominated for her performance during the opening weekend. She scored three goals and had an assist in a 6-0 win over Centenary on Sept. 1 and scored one goal in a 1-0 win over Millsaps on Sept. 3.

The win over Millsaps snapped a six-game losing streak to the Majors and helped the Lady Hawks start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2003.
