Lady Hawks shut out Berea to earn first conference win

BEREA, Ky.  – The Huntingdon women's soccer team opened conference play on Saturday by recording its sixth shutout of the season.

The Lady Hawks scored three goals in the first 26 minutes of the game and knocked off Berea College 3-0.

The victory pushes Huntingdon's season win total to seven games. This is just the third time during the NCAA era that the Lady Hawks have reached seven wins and the first time since 2004.

Mac Pearson opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the game on an assist from Kirstin Hayes. Hayes made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal in the eighth minute. Jade Ullman closed the scoring on an assist from Elena Guy at the 25:17 mark.
