Huntingdon falls at #21 Emory

ATLANTA  – The Huntingdon women's soccer team battled 21st-ranked Emory University to a scoreless tie in the first half Tuesday night before the Eagles scored two second-half goals in a 2-0 game.

Emory scored twice in a little more than two minutes to take the lead. The Eagles' first goal came at the 50:58 mark and the final goal was scored at 53:01.

 

Records: Huntingdon (8-3-1); #21 Emory (7-3-0)

Quick Fact: Tuesday's game could be a good measuring stick for the Lady Hawks. Emory is the first nationally ranked team the Lady Hawks have faced this season. The Eagles' three losses have all come against teams ranked in the Top-10 nationally. Emory fell to eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins 1-0, lost to seventh-ranked Christopher Newport 2-1 and lost to second-ranked Washington University-St. Louis 1-0. Emory's next game is against No. 1-ranked University of Chicago.
