Huntingdon opens season with win against Talladega

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon women's soccer team opened the season with a 16-0 win over NAIA Talladega College on Friday night.

The Lady Hawks began to make substitutions in the first half and played 28 players in the game.

Freshman Sierra Millinor scored the first goal in the opening three minutes. Ten different players scored in the game, with freshmen accounting for nine of the goals.

Records: Huntingdon (1-0); Talladega (0-2)                                                

Notable: Huntingdon's 16 goals broke the Lady Hawks' NCAA-era record for goals in a game. Huntingdon set its previous record of 14 against Fisk in 2003 and tied the mark against Oakwood in 2010.
