Huntingdon women’s tennis starts strong

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team took eight matches on Sunday to beat Mississippi College 8-1 in the season opener for both teams.

Returning players Katie Scott (No. 1), Hannah Creamer (No. 4) and Christian Vick (No. 5) picked up wins in singles. Freshmen Taylor Clark (No. 2), Hannah Still (No. 3) and Arielle Barraca (No. 4) picked up their first non-tournament collegiate wins.

In doubles, Still teamed with freshman Micaela White to win at No. 2 doubles and the team of Clark-Vick won at No. 3 doubles.

The Lady Hawks (1-0) host Louisiana College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
