Huntingdon’s Thibodeau and Moore recognized by GSAC

ATLANTA – Huntingdon freshman Britni Thibodeau and head coach Ximena Moore were each recognized with the release of the Great South Athletic Conference tennis awards. Thibodeau was named Freshman of the Year and Moore was named Coach of the Year. All nine Huntingdon tennis players received some form of All-Conference recognition. Agnes Scott senior Rachel Storz was named Player of the Year for a fourth straight season.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team has been a regular in the Great South Athletic Conference tournament finals. The Lady Hawks have reached the finals six straight seasons, winning two conference titles. This weekend, Huntingdon will try to win its third GSAC tournament title in seven seasons.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team lost just its second match of the season on Saturday, falling 7-2 at Division II Montevallo. The loss snapped a 12-match winning streak for Huntingdon (17-2).

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team closed out conference play with a pair of wins over Salem College on Sunday. The Lady Hawks won both matches 9-0 and pushed their winning streak to 12 matches. Huntingdon (17-1) claimed the Great South Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 10-0 conference record.

ATLANTA – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won two doubles matches and four singles matches to beat Spelman 6-3 on Saturday. The win was the 10th straight for the Lady Hawks (15-1, 8-0 Great South Athletic Conference).

MACON, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won its ninth straight match with a 9-0 win over Wesleyan on Friday. With the win, Huntingdon (14-1) improved to 7-0 in the Great South Athletic Conference.

DECATUR, Ga. -- The Huntingdon women's tennis team rallied from an early deficit to beat Agnes Scott 6-3 on Tuesday. Huntingdon, ranked 16th in the ITA Atlantic South Region, trailed 19th-ranked Agnes Scott 2-1 after doubles but won five singles matches to clinch the win. The win was the Lady Hawks' second of the season against Agnes Scott. Huntingdon (13-1, 6-0 Great South Athletic Conference) also beat the Scotties (7-5, 5-2 GSAC) 6-3 in early March.

Scott picks up win No. 100 as Lady Hawks beat Spelman and Univ. of Mobile

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Senior Katie Scott picked up her 100th career victory and the Huntingdon women's tennis team picked up wins over Spelman and the University of Mobile on Tuesday. Huntingdon (9-1, 4-0 Great South Athletic Conference) beat conference rival Spelman 8-1 before knocking off the University of Mobile 5-3.
