Lady Hawks sweep Wesleyan and Judson to open season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team swept its first two matches of the season with a 9-0 win over Wesleyan and a 9-0 win over Judson on Friday.

The Lady Hawks took two singles matches and all three doubles matches without losing a game against Great South Athletic Conference opponent Wesleyan. Hannah Still (No. 3 singles) and Micaela White (No. 4 singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 and the doubles teams of Britni Thibodeau-Still (No. 1), White-Katie Scott (No. 2) and Arielle Barraca-Farrah Mahan (No. 3) each won 8-0.

Against Judson, Thibodeau (No. 1), Scott (No. 2), Still (No. 3), Mahan (No. 4) and Deidre Corbin (No. 5) each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. The doubles team of Still-Thibodeau won 8-0.

Huntingdon (2-0, 1-0 GSAC) returns to action on Feb. 22 at Clark Atlanta.
