Huntingdon women’s tennis opens season with win over Point
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won all six singles matches in straight sets and took two doubles matches in an 8-1 season-opening win against Point University on Tuesday.
Singles winners for the Lady Hawks were Daniela Lozano (No. 1), Hannah Still (No. 2), Arielle Barraca (No. 3), Elayne White (No. 4), Tara-Beth Hall (No. 5) and Shamyia Jones (No. 6). For Lozano, White, Hall and Jones, the victories were their first as Huntingdon players.
The team of Lozano-White won at No. 2 doubles and Still-Barraca won at No. 3 doubles.
Huntingdon hosts Birmingham-Southern on Saturday at noon.
