Huntingdon women’s tennis downs Mary Baldwin
STAUNTON, Va. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team picked up its second conference win in three matches on Sunday with an 8-1 win over Mary Baldwin College.
The Lady Hawks (3-2, 2-1 USA South) won all six singles matches in straight sets and took two doubles matches from the Fighting Squirrels (0-5, 0-4 USA South).
Hannah Still (No. 1 singles), Daniela Lozano (No. 2 singles), Arielle Barraca (No. 3 singles) and Elayne White (No. 5 singles) each picked up wins in singles and doubles. Still and White teamed to win at No. 3 doubles and Lozano and Barraca won at No. 2 doubles.
Tara-Beth Hall won at No. 4 singles and Shamyia Jones won at No. 6 singles.
Huntingdon returns to conference play on Monday at Ferrum at 11 a.m. The match was postponed from Saturday due to weather.
