Huntingdon improves to 6-1 in USA South
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team beat Covenant 9-0 on Friday.
The win was the third straight 9-0 victory for Huntingdon and the sixth conference win in seven conference matches.
The Lady Hawks won five of their six singles matches in straight sets with Zoya Robinson (No. 2), Kacy Howard (No. 3), Heather Tabor (No. 4), Lucy Burch (No. 5) and Kacey Stephens (No. 6) each winning.
Josie Waddell went to three sets at No. 1 singles, winning 3-6, 6-1, 10-2. The win was Waddell's 10th of the season at No. 1 singles
In doubles, Waddell and Robinson won 8-2 at No. 1 to improve to 13-1 this season. The No. 2 team of Tabor-Howard won 8-3 and the No. 3 team of Clayton Waring-Alex Burnham won 8-2.
