HUNTINGDON VOLLEYBALL COMES UP SHORT IN BERRY TOURNAMENT

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Huntingdon College volleyball team battled in two hard-fought matches in the Berry tournament on Saturday.

Huntingdon lost to Berry in four games and lost to Oglethorpe in five games. Berry won 25-9, 20-25, 25-13, 25-19. Oglethorpe won 25-23, 22-25, 17-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Against Berry, Melony Motley led Huntingdon (1-7) with eight kills. Diane Humphreys and Abby Carter each added five kills. Alyssa Eason had 16 digs. Victoria Hurd had eight digs and six assists and Storm McWhorter had six digs.

Abby Brown had 14 kills and Motley had 11 kills against Oglethorpe.  All-tournament selection Lauren Rozof had eight kills, five aces and 14 digs. Eason finished with 34 assists and nine digs. Carter added nine kills, Humphreys recorded eight kills. McWhorter had 22 digs, Hurd had nine digs and Ashlee Walters had eight digs.

Huntingdon plays at Judson College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
