Huntingdon volleyball closes out regular season in Rhodes tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Huntingdon volleyball team ended the regular season with two losses on Sunday in the Rhodes Halloween tournament. The Hawks lost to Hardin Simmons 25-11, 25-11, 25-12 and fell to Rhodes 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.

Huntingdon senior Alyssa Eason was chosen to the all-tournament team. Eason led the Hawks with eight assists, four kills and four digs against Hardin Simmons and had 14 assists, seven digs and two aces against Rhodes.

Abby Brown and Melony Motley each had three kills and one block assist against Hardin Simmons. Abby Carter had two block assists in the match. Ashlee Walters recorded eight digs and Lauren Rozof added six digs.

Against Rhodes, Carter turned in six kills and two block assists, Brown added four kills, two block assists and an ace, Rozof had three kills and two block assists and Motley finished with three kills and three block assists. Diane Humphreys recorded six digs and Walters had five digs and an ace.

Huntingdon (10-24) returns to action in the Great South Athletic Conference tournament in Demorest, Ga. The tournament begins on Friday.
