Volleyball opens season with win in Huntingdon College Jubilee

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team capped the first day of the Huntingdon College Volleyball Jubilee with a 4-set win over Talladega College on Friday. The Lady Hawks won 25-18, 25-12, 24-26, 25-22.

Huntingdon (1-0) continues play in the Jubilee with two matches on Saturday. The Lady Hawks play Wesleyan (0-2) at 10 a.m. and Oglethorpe (1-0) at 2 p.m. Talladega (1-1) will play Oglethorpe at noon.

Lexi Rangel, Morgan Goodson and Rachel Dunlay combined for 21 of the Lady Hawks' 39 kills. Rangel had eight kills, nine assists, eight digs and four aces, Goodson added seven kills and Dunlay totaled six kills and six assists.

Cora Murchison finished with 15 assists and nine digs and Bria Rochelle had five kills, eight digs and three blocks. Lauren Condon recorded 21 digs, Bobie Wilson had 11 digs and Storm McWhorter had seven digs and three aces. Jello Weatherspoon finished with five kills.
