Hawks pick up non-conference sweep at Roland Arena

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team won two non-conference matches at Roland Arena on Tuesday night.

In their first home matches since Sept. 5, the Hawks downed Judson 25-5, 25-6, 25-18 and knocked off Wesleyan 25-6, 25-3, 25-14.

Huntingdon (5-9) was able to play 18 players in the first match and 20 in the second match.

Against Judson (2-5), Bria Rochelle recorded eight kills and Kalen Morgan had six kills. Cora Murchison totaled 24 assists and eight digs and Lauren Condon finished with nine digs and three aces.

Against Wesleyan (0-12), Audrianna Hargitt had a team-high seven kills and Ashton Flores added five kills. Murchison recorded 12 assists and five aces and Kaitlyn Carter had 10 assists, eight digs and four aces. Abby Rohde finished with seven aces and Nicole Payne had six digs.

The Hawks step back into USA South Athletic Conference play on Saturday at LaGrange. Huntingdon plays LaGrange at 11 a.m. and Piedmont at 1 p.m.
